The Eastern Problem

In the Far East and Southern Asia, pollution is rampant. Breathng and seeing the sun is difficult. I suddenly realize why people have problems with the Beijing Olympics. Even with massive green efforts, changing the pollution situation in the East is almost impossible. If I was an athelete in the Olympics, I would seriously consider boycotting it. Luckily, the technology industry is picking up in India, a far greener industry than industrialism, although not as green as possible. Possibly, the Olympics could persuade China to really do something. However, since China is a Communist government (meaning the government has all the power), the government officials have to be the people who run a green program.
