Setting the Truth Straight (comments of Brian)

I would like to make a rebuttal on Brian's comments (On my posts Welcome and An Inconvenient Truth, click on 1 Comments)on Al Gore and the government. Al Gore has given completely credible evidence on global warming. Calling him a liar without evidence is slanderous, or in this case, libel. Another point you raised is the fact that the government wouldn't want to cover up global warming. That is easily disproven. The current administration, like many in the past, do not want to take responsibility for what they have done. A good way to admit their mistake was to sign the Kyoto Protocol and pledge to raise gas standards. Instead of setting standards, they only half-commited themselves to the issue. They have suggested the use of newer lightbulbs and more energy-efficient transportation, but they have not put any standards into place, forcing manufacturors to raise their product effectiveness. This lack of standardization has put Americans into the situation of having to chose between cheaper products and "greener' products. Since doing all of this is a lot of work, the government chooses to take the easy way out and try to disprove global warming. Brian, if you would like to continue your argument I would be glad to field any questions you have.

*note: i am not blaming global warming on the current administration. In fact, all of our problems can date back to George Washington and the Presidents from then on into the Industrial Revolution in america and UK. However, the current administration is to blame on not making moves to try and combat global warming. Instead they make promises without any proof that they will go through with it.

I will give you a reson why Al Gore is a lair. In his movie A Incovient Truth) he talks about his life in many small segements, like how his son almost died and how he didn't win the election. Well in one of these segements he talked about his early childhood. He stated that his dad was a farmer and won breader of the month. It turns out that his dad was not a farmer. But a very rich politician ( he was a U.S. Sentor and a U.S. Representative). So Al Gore really didn't come from a normal backround. My point is he will try to exaggerate the truth to make him look good.

I am very surprised that you misinterpreted the movie. Not once did it say that Gore had a normal chilhood. He was "shuttled" from one home to onether biannually, switching between a farm and Washington D.C. His father was a breeder of the month winning politician. He split time between Washington D.C. and Carthage also.
